law clerk baseball day

The City Attorney's office reserved a whole box suite at the Oakland A's game on Thursday, and the special guests of the day were the summer law clerks. Also included were any attorneys, secretaries and support staff who didn't want to stay in the office and work. ;-)
View of the field, and view of the box suites.
Not only did we get to enjoy the game from the luxury of the box suites, but we had an abundance amount of food to enjoy throughout the game. There were mini-sliders...
...a weiner dog bar (beef dogs, chicken & basil dogs, hot links)...
...a nacho bar with cheese, beans, salsa and of course chips...

...and this is my first plate of food for the day. I had one of the hot links, which had just a little bit of spice to give it a kick but not too much to give me heartburn afterwards (yes, I've been suffering more heartburns as I get older, which sucks big time).
There were also a bag of salted peanuts for each seat in the box suite. Popcorn was served in a plastic A's cap,
which three lucky law clerks got to take home as a souvineer (me included!).
If anyone notices, this may look like a weird picture because it's upside down. =)
I went to work in jeans and a t-shirt on a Thursday. Got to work at 8:30am. Did about two hours of worth of actual work before giving up and meeting with the other law clerks to head over to the A's stadium. Spent the majority of the work day (12-4) socializing with attorneys, bitching about law school and watching the A's beat the Mariners with a 3-2 win after 11 innings. What a great way to spend a work day.
